SALZBURG CHAMBER SOLOISTS

“...a youthful dynamism and volcanic energy that provoked whistles and exclamations of 'Wow' from the normally sedate...audience.” —Calgary Herald

Playing without a conductor, the 16 free-spirited, charismatic musicians of the Salzburg Chamber Soloists display the vigor, passion, and inventiveness of solo artists while staying perfectly harnessed in one shared musical experience. The first half of the program pays homage to Mozart, with extraordinary soloist Andreas Klein on piano for an inspired rendition of Mozart's Piano Concerto K. 415. The second half features stirring works by Edward Elgar and Franz Schubert.

PROGRAM Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Divertimento in D Major, K. 136, “Salzburg Symphony No. 1” and Piano Concerto No. 13 in C Major, K. 415 (soloist: Andreas Klein, piano); Franz Schubert: Five Minuets and Six Trios, D. 89, and Rondo for Piano and Strings; Edward Elgar: Serenade for Strings, op. 20
