ANNE-MARIE MCDERMOTT, PIANO

“…abundant technical gifts…but perhaps of equal importance, she brings a vivid personal connection, a deeply sympathetic ear.” —New York Times

Due to the flare-up of an earlier finger injury, Murray Perahia has canceled his recital on March 17, 2006. While he has recovered substantially, doctors advised that it was premature to undertake a ten-city national tour.

In his place, Stanford Lively Arts is delighted to present Anne-Marie McDermott, a widely celebrated concert pianist known for her sensitive, expressive performances and broad range of repertoire. This luminous and boldly emotive pianist promises an unforgettable evening!
