Dr. Kathryn Gillam, Ph.D., Special Assistant to the Dean of the Stanford School of Medicine, has been an academic administrator at Stanford University for over 20 years and has served in the School of Humanities and Sciences Dean's Office, the Office of the Provost, and the Dean's Office of the School of Medicine. Seven years ago, Dr. Gillam began the Stanford Continuing Studies Masters of Liberal Arts program. Her talk this evening, on Dag Hammarskjöld's unusual personal diary, Markings, is based on her master's thesis for the program.
