Dimmock's reputation as one of his generation's leading organists has been built on his all-encompassing repertoire, improvisatory skills, and his sensitivity to all styles of music. The only American ever to be appointed Organ Scholar at Westminster Abbey, his career has included stints at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City and several Bay Area congregations, as well as composing a number of works for organ. A Grammy-winning recording artist, he founded Art to the Nations, bringing an international roster of artists to serve as musical catalysts in the context of political negotiations to create new possibilities of positive outcomes.
