Kayaking in Monterey Bay

Come join your neighbors on a relaxing paddle through some of the most beautiful coastal scenery California has to offer. We will be renting double kayaks in Monterey Bay, and spend a few hours paddling along the coast. Lucky paddlers will see sea otters, seals, birds, and perhaps even dolphins. After we return our kayaks, we'll have lunch together in Monterey before heading back to Stanford (expect to be back at Stanford around 2 to 3 pm).

Cost is $15 for residents, and $25 for non-residents of Escondido Village.

In order to sign up, please drop off an envelope to the EV office with the following information written on the face of the envelope:

1. The name(s) of the people in your party

2. The amount of money enclosed in the envelope

3. Whether you can drive

4. If you can drive, how many additional people can you take? (drivers will be reimbursed for gas if they take other participants in their car)

Also, enclose a check for the appropriate amount of payment in the envelope (e.g. if there are two residents in your group, you will pay $30. If your group consists of one resident and one non-EV guest, you will pay $40). Make checks out to EV Singles and Doubles.

We have 30 slots open for this trip. If more than 30 people sign up, a lottery will be held, and only winners of the lottery will be notified by email. Checks of the individuals who do not make the lottery will be disposed of properly. Individuals who are winners of the lottery are responsible for finding replacements for the trip if they are unable to attend. If you are unable to find a replacement, you will not receive a refund.

The last day to submit your envelope and sign up is Oct. 10th.
