"A Sustainable Society" A Free Public Lecture by Dr. Wes Jackson

Dr. Wes Jackson, MacArthur genius grant winner, Land Institute founder, and, according to Life Magazine, one of the 100 most important Americans of the 20th century, will speak on his work and prospects for a sustainable society. Dr. Jackson is most known for his efforts to transform agriculture, moving us away from the annual-dominated monocultures that have ravaged the nation's soils and towards a perennial polyculture agricultural prairie. He is an original and compelling voice for change in America's fields, moving us closer to becoming truly native to this place.
