Why Logic? Can logic and formal methods be of help when one works on

philosophical issue? If so, how? These and other related questions

are dealt with in a book that is coming out in December: Formal

philosophy: 5 questions for formal philosophers. I will set forth my

own view on these issues and also discuss some of the other views

that are put forth in the book.
