Alankaar is a showcase of Stanford performing arts groups and performers from Yoni ki Baat (Roughly from Hindi, "Talks of the Vagina"), a movement started by the South Asian Sisters.

In a night of song, stories, and dance, Alankaar celebrates South Asian culture while offering commentary and raising awareness of issues faced around the world.

We're excited to share the stage with Spicmacay Stanford, Stanford Noopur, Stanford Bhangra, Stanford Spoken Word Collective, and performers from Yoni ki Baat. Thank you for your dedication.

Also, special thanks to Stanford AASA, Stanford Arts, and Cardinal Nights for co-sponsoring this event!

All money from tickets will be donated to Maitri Bay Area to help them achieve their goal of empowering people facing domestic violence, emotional abuse, cultural alienation, human trafficking and family conflict.
