The Stanford Photonics Research Center (formerly CNOM) is pleased to announce our next Annual Meeting, scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, September 15,16 and 17, 2003 on the Stanford University campus. This three-day event is open to the public and features premier Photonics researchers and industry leaders. The sessions are organized by Stanford faculty, including Robert L. Byer, Martin Fejer, James Harris, Lambertus Hesselink, Joseph M. Kahn, Daniel Palanker, Krishna Saraswat and Jelena Vuckovic.
The program topics include Fundamental Science,
Biophotonics, Nanophotonics, Telecom, Optical MEMS, Optical Interconnects, Ultrafast and Nonlinear Optics, Optical Materials, Solid State Lasers, and Fiber Lasers
In addition to the diverse technical program, SPRC Annual Meeting activities include a Monday afternoon panel discussion on Biophotonics, a Monday evening reception and banquet, a Tuesday student-led poster session and mixer, and a Wednesday Farewell Barbecue. These social and networking activities provide ample time for researchers in academia, government and industry to develop new connections, explore new ideas, and discuss opportunities for the future in the photonics arena.
