Linda Williams, Professor of Film Studies and Rhetoric at University of California at Berkeley, will lead a discussion seminar entitled, "Hard-Core Eroticism: In the Realm of the Senses," following her first lecture on Monday (11/07, "Of Kisses and Ellipses: The Long Adolescence of American Film").
Williams was director of the Film Studies Program at U.C. Berkeley from 1998 to 2004. She is the author of "Playing the Race Card: Melodramas of Black and White, from Uncle Tom to O.J. Simpson" (2001).
