Weeks Distinguished Visitor Linda Williams (U.C. Berkeley Professor of Film Studies and Rhetoric) Lecture

Linda Williams, Professor of Film Studies and Rhetoric at University of California at Berkeley, will give a lecture entitled, "Going All the Way: Carnal Knowledge on American Screens (1960-71)." This is the second lecture that she will give at Stanford as the Marta Sutton Weeks Visitor (November 7-11, 2005). The second lecture is/was on Monday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m.

Williams was director of the Film Studies Program at U.C. Berkeley from 1998 to 2004. She is the author of "Playing the Race Card: Melodramas of Black and White, from Uncle Tom to O.J. Simpson" (2001).
