The Bright River: A mass-transit tour of the afterlife

A hip hop theater performance that is a retelling of Dante's Inferno with a live soundtrack. Guided by a fixer named Quick, and moving through an urban landscape that is at once both intensely real and fantastic, the show is a deep rooted love story and a poignant commentary on the current war in Iraq. In its 24-week Bay Area run, The Bright River received unanimous critical acclaim. This production is being brought to Stanford for one night only at discounted ticket prices.
