Are you planning to enter the job market for a faculty position? These sessions will help you prepare yourself and your application materials. This is a series of seven sessions. We meet every Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:30 pm, July 19 - August 30. Sign up for the sessions you desire. Attend the entire series and receive a free copy of the "Academic Job Search Handbook." You can easily sign up for the series with one registration here: https://stanford.joinhandshake.com/events/54457 ****** The Research Job Talk is often considered the most important part of the campus visit. Unlike a presentation at a conference, you are describing your work, and also providing a vision of your future. The Job Talk also introduces you as a teacher. In this session we will learn a recommended structure for your talk. You will also practice speaking confidently. We will also discuss what makes effective presentation slides. ****** Other sessions in the series: Job search overview and analyzing position listings (7/19) CV Lab (7/26) Interviewing (8/2) Research Statements (8/9) Teaching Statements (8/16) Cover Letter Lab (8/30) This is a collaboration of BEAM, Stanford Career Education and the School of Medicine Career Center
