We all know that adequate sleep is crucial for our health and brain performance. However, there are times in our lives that we cannot get enough sleep for various reasons. What we eat and drink during periods of sleep deprivation can impact our cognitive performance. In this class you will learn evidence-based nutritional strategies that you could use to increase alertness and combat sleepiness when you want to be alert and awake.

Instructor: Maryam S. Hamidi, PhD is a research professional at the Stanford Medicine WellMD Center and has particular nutrition expertise in enhancing cognitive performance and alertness of professionals with long working hours and high cognitive demands including physicians and pilots.
