Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto"

Emperors and Kings

Celebrating 40 seasons of musical excellence, the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra is presenting four concerts this year in Dinkelspiel Auditorium, featuring world-famous PACO alumni. On Saturday evening, December 17, pianist Tanya Gabrielian, who has won first prizes in the 2004 Scottish International Piano Competition and the 2003 Aram Khachaturyan International Piano Competition, will be guest soloist on Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto". The Times described Tanya as "...a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle." The program will also include Franz Schubert's "Unfinished Symphony" and selections from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story.
