School-to-School Donation Drive
School-to-School is a donation drive to collect NEW school supplies for Galveston-area schools hit by Hurricane Rita. These schools are having to rebuild and restock, and could really use our help.
Collection Dates: Begins, Wednesday Nov 16th - Ends, Friday December 2nd
Drop off sites include: El Centro Chicano Community Center front office (Old Union), Memorial Church (Round Room), Terman Bldg (Room 338). (Please see our website for more drop off locations: http://katrinahelp.stanford.edu)
What We're Collecting: NEW SCHOOL SUPPLIES ONLY (PLEASE, NO CLOTHING).
Items particularly needed:
• Crayons
• Construction Paper
• Loose-leaf Paper
• Pens & Pencils
• Markers
• Binders
• Rulers
• Children's Scissors
• Copier/Printer Paper
• Pocket Folders
• Erasers
• Notepads & Notebooks
• Backpacks

Partnerships: Shipping for all drive donations is being provided by FedEx and the non-profit organization Peace Builders. Our Galveston contacts include teachers at the individual recipient schools, as well as the Human Resources Coordinator for the County of Galveston.
