Major clinical depression is a very serious disease and is one of the most misunderstood in terms of how the average person thinks about it. This non-technical talk by Dr. Robert Sapolsky gives an overview of the biology of depression, the psychology of it, and how you can't begin to understand the disease without seeing how those two interact.
