What Matters to Me and Why - Steven A. Denning
The What Matters to Me and Why series encourages reflection within the Stanford community on matters of personal values, beliefs, and motivations in order to better understand the lives and inspirations of those who shape the University.
The second talk of this year's series features:
Steven Denning, Chairman of General Atlantic LLC and former Chair of Stanford’s Board of Trustees
The third talk of this year's series features Steven Denning, Chairman of General Atlantic LLC and former Chair of Stanford’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Denning received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1978. Prior to business school, Mr. Denning served for six years in the U.S. Navy, where he also earned an M.S. degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He received a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970.
Mr. Denning was a member of Stanford’s Board of Trustees from 2004-2017 and served as Chair from 2012-2017. He currently serves on the following Advisory Boards at Stanford: the Knight-Hennessy Scholar Program; the Distinguished Careers Institute; and Online Teaching and Learning Advisory Board.
