Award-Winning Teachers on Teaching Series. Profs. J. Landy, and L. Anderson: "Challenges and Rewards of Team-Teaching"

Professor Joshua Landy, Director of Graduate Studies, French, Department of French and Italian

and

Professor Lanier Anderson, Department of Philosophy

"Challenges and Rewards of Team-Teaching"

Professors Landy and Anderson will discuss their experiences in cross-disciplinary team teaching in a wide range of course-types, from large introductory classes, through small classes, to graduate seminars. Topics will include coordination problems, building a common understanding across disciplinary lines, engaging students from different intellectual backgrounds, and fruitful strategies for in-class interaction among faculty. They hope for an active discussion of questions about team-teaching experiences brought forward by the audience.
