Wired for Speech

Clifford I. Nass, communications and computer science professor at Stanford, will discuss his new book, "Wired for Speech: How Voice Activates and Advances the Human-Computer Relationship," which reveals how a car's voice can promote safer driving, and explores whether synthetic voices have personality and emotion, and whether sounding like a person is good.
