Session #3 presents a global leader in small autonomous urban robots from Estonia. Headquartered in Tallinn, CEO Ahti Heinla will discuss the history and vision of Starship; the challenges of building a disruptive AI/Robotics startup in a country not known for deep robotics and AI expertise; operating experience gained to date on the streets of London and other cities; and market entry strategies for the USA, UK, EU and Asia. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, former President of Estonia, will offer important background context regarding Estonia's leadership in ICT innovation and e-government services. Panel speaker Andrus Viirg will touch on the broader state of the rapidly growing startup ecosystem across the Baltic region from his perspective as Chairman of the annual Latitude59 conference.
