The Office of the Vice President of the Arts presents:

THIS IS US: An evening with Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathe

In conversation with Harry J. Elam Jr., Vice President for the Arts, Senior Vice Provost for Education, and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education

Acclaimed actors and ‘98 alumni Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathe first met when Dr. Elam cast them in the same freshman-year show.

They return to the farm with two Emmys, a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award and a resume that includes: This is Us, Army Wives, Insecure, Black Panther, The People v. O.J. Simpson, Good Fences, Boston Legal, One for the Money, ER, and more.

Join Bathe and Brown as they share stories from their incredible acting careers and perform scenes--including one from their first show together!

This event is co-sponsored by the Stanford Alumni Association, Program in African & African American Studies, Black Community Services Center, Center for Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity, Institute for Diversity in the Arts, Department of Theater & Performance Studies, and Ujaama.
