SOWING THE SEEDS FOR A MORE CREATIVE SOCIETY

Mitchel Resnick, Interim Head, Program in Media Arts and Sciences and Associate Professor of Media Arts at MIT.

discusses his conception of today's "Creative Society," in which success in the future (for individuals, communities, companies and nations) will be based not on how much we know, but on our ability to think and act creatively. In this talk, he will discuss new technologies and educational initiatives developed by his group at the MIT Media Lab, specifically to help children learn to design, invent, and express themselves creatively to prepare for life in the Creative Society.
