Part 2 of Professor Davis' talk on "Exiles, Exodus, & Promised Lands." His talks will deal with the central issue of "colonizing" freed African Americans, an issue put forth as early as the 1710s and embraced by Abraham Lincoln during most of the Civil War. Follow up discussion held on 2/24.
