Farid Esmaeelpour is a filmmaker, film critic and Ph.D student at Paris-1-Pantheon-Sorbonne University in France. His book The Genesis of the Iranian Aueteur Cinema: Ebrahim Golestan focuses on the acclaimed Iranian filmmaker's career, role in the history of Iranian cinema, and his influence on many other well-known Iranian filmmakers.
