Pan-Asian Music Festival: Kartik Seshadri, sitar, and Swapan Chaudhuri, tabla

The foremost disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Kartik Seshadri performs with rich tonal sensibility and exciting rhythmic intricacy. One of the leading practitioners of Indian classical music, he plays with an exceptional clarity and technical mastery that have made him a repeat performer at both the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. "Kartik...transformed his seven-stringed sitar into an expressive human voice that gowled, sang, soared to the heights, and carried on elaborate rhythmic discussions with [the] tabla." - The Plain Dealer Presented in conjunction with Stanford Lively Arts. Pre-concert discussion at 6:45.
