Professor Rodolfo Dirzo, Bing Professor of Environmental Science in Stanford's Dept. of Biological Sciences, will discuss several important global ecological changes, with special focus on the loss of biological diversity. To illustrate his points, Dr. Dirzo will draw upon his research on biodiversity conservation in Mexico and other tropical forest ecosystems.
