The Urban Unrest of November 05 in France

Two panels will discuss the unrest in France's cities that started in one suburb north east of Paris and spread around the capital and to several cities around the country. The first panel will focus on the facts, explaining what happened, where, who were involved, how extensive and violent it was, the actions and reactions of the French authorities and on the part of the French population and media.

The second panel will provide an analysis, present interpretations of the causes and describe the measures taken and proposed by the government to face and remedy the situation.
