Screening of "The Innocents"

Director Lauri Feldman's documentary "The Innocents" captures a critical moment in human rights history as an unprecedented group of 35 death row exonerees walked from Illinois Death Row to downtown Chicago to deliver a message to Governor George Ryan. The thought-provoking film examines the lives of the innocent as they are arrested, condemned to death for crimes they did not commit, and left to grapple with the realities of their hard-won freedom. Question and answer session with death row exoneree Gary Gauger follows.

This event is part of a week-long residency with the ACTORS' GANG, the acclaimed Los Angeles-based theater troupe under the artistic direction of Tim Robbins. Presented by Stanford Lively Arts.
