Viennese Ball

The Viennese Ball is an annual social dance event. The ball is modeled after the hundreds of balls that take place in Vienna during the season of Fasching, which opens on New Year's Eve and is the last fling before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. Stanford's Viennese Ball features an opening ceremony, hourly performances and dance competitions. Live bands play in waltz and swing rooms until the wee hours of the morning. Refreshments and transportation included. This year's ball is February 24, 2006 from 8:00PM-2AM and will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame.
