THE END OF OIL? PART II: CARBON, CLIMATE & CONSEQUENCES

THE END OF OIL? PART II: CARBON, CLIMATE & CONSEQUENCES

The first lecture in the series examined two points of view about whether we are running out of oil. The question dealt with in this lecture is--regardless of how much oil is left--what are the consequences of oil's continued use? Presenters will discuss the role of atmospheric greenhouse gases in forcing climate change and its many manifestations, modeling techniques to predict further climate changes, and the impact of climate change on the environment and populations worldwide.
