Stefano Scodanibbio, contrabass

Italian contrabass soloist and composer Stefano Scodanibbio has been prominently linked to the renaissance of the double bass, playing works written especially for him. He has created new techniques extending the colours and range of the double bass heretofore thought impossible on this instrument. Tonight, he'll be performing works by Stanford composer Brian Ferneyhough and others, as well as original compositions.
