Stanford Jazz Workshop Jazz Camp

Each summer for more than three decades the Stanford Jazz Workshop (SJW) has created a lively and supportive community of jazz artists, educators, students, and enthusiasts on the campus of Stanford University. SJW's programs provide an exceptional immersion in jazz, fostering a deeper appreciation of this great improvisational music genre, hailed by many as "the definitive American art form."

Stanford Jazz Workshop's Jazz Camp for students aged 12 to 17 will be presented July 16-21 (Week One) and July 23-28 (Week Two). All events will be presented at Stanford's Braun Music Center and Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Founded in 1972, the Stanford Jazz Workshop (SJW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to jazz education and appreciation. Financial need-based scholarship assistance is available.
