Alexander S. Onassis Lecture Series - Professor Robert Nelson

The Department of Art & Art History is pleased to announce the Alexander S. Onassis Lecture Series that includes many wonderful lectures by Robert Nelson, Professor of Byzantine Art at Yale University. Co-sponsors of this series include The Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (New York, USA), the Department of Art & Art History, the Humanities Center, and the Classics Department. The dates for his public lectures are Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9, 5:30 pm each day. The first lecture on March 8 is entitled, "Light, Icons, and the Monastery of St. Catherine at Mt. Sinai in Cummings Ar2 at 5:30 pm. On March 9, Professor Nelson presents a lecture entitled, "Of Grammatology, Icons, and Pictures: The Biography of a Byzantine Lectionary" in Cummings Ar4 at 5:30 pm.
