Award-Winning Teachers on Teaching Series: Prof. Rob Dunbar, GES Dept., "Teaching Outside the Walls"

Professor Rob Dunbar, of Geological and Environmental Sciences, "Teaching Outside the Walls."

Whether in a seminar, a lecture hall, or on a tall ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Prof. Dunbar's goal is to help students develop as interdisciplinary problem solvers. Integrating disciplines to expose new solutions lies at the heart of interdisciplinary practice, but how do we develop this ability in students? And how do we know success when we see it? In this presentation Prof. Dunbar will discuss some of the rewards, as well as the unique challenges faced, when helping students along this path.
