Immanuel Kant Lecture: Dag Prawitz (Philosophy, Stockholm University) "PROOFS, MEANING AND REALITY"

Professor Prawitz will examine the grounds on which assertions are made and will attend to the notions of proof and inference. Criticizing usual accounts of these notions, he will develop an epistemic approach to meaning that focuses on the justification of assertions. He will also discuss the bearings on metaphysical issues of realism and anti-realism.
