Come join your friends and neighbors on a Spring Kayaking trip to Monterey Bay! Kayakers in Monterey Bay are regularly accompanied by sea lions and sea otters, and there is a variety of ocean life near the kelp beds.
We will be meeting at the GCC at 8 am to arrange carpools. Our expected time to Monterey is 9:30, and our kayaking trip begins at 10 am. Although this is NOT a guided tour, beginners are welcome. You should be comfortable with swimming for brief periods in the open ocean in a life vest (should your kayak flip over, but this is EXTREMELY rare).
The cost per EV resident is $15.
Non-EV guests must pay $25.
So, for example, if you are a resident and are bringing a non-EV guest, your total will be $40.
In order to sign up for this trip, you must complete the following steps.
1. Go to the following website and answer the questions.

2. Submit an envelope to the EV Office with a check made out to EV Singles and Couples for the appropriate amount of money. On the envelope, please write the following information:
1. Your name, and the names of your guests
2. Your EV neighborhood
3. The amount of money you are enclosing
4. Your email address(es)
Only individuals who complete BOTH steps will be signed up for the event. If more individuals sign up than there are slots, a lottery will be held. The checks of individuals who do not make the lottery will be destroyed in an appropriate manner.
You must sign up by May 29th.
Once you are selected to take part in this event, your check is non-refundable. If you find that you are unable to attend the event, it is your responsibility to find replacements for your slot(s) - if you do not find replacements, you will not get your money back!
