Cabaret follows Cliff, an American writer who takes up residence in 1930 Berlin in search of inspiration. There he finds it in his experiences of the frivolous debauchery of Sally Bowles and the KitKat Club, and the ominous beginnings of World War II. Cabaret offers something for everyone, with amazing showstopping numbers like Money and Don't Tell Mama, as well as its considerations of the roots of war and intolerance, sexuality, and the fundamental relationships between human beings.
Shows will be on April 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22nd all at 8PM at Memorial Auditorium. Tickets $9 for students, $15 for Stanford faculty/staff/alumni, and $18 for the general public.
