Arena Football: San Jose SaberCats vs. AFL Champion Colorado Crush, free for EV residents!

When we think Bay Area Sports, we think of the Giants, the 49ers, the A's and the Raiders... but in fact, the strongest pro team from the Bay Area this decade has been the San Jose SaberCats: the 2002 and 2004 Arena Bowl champions.

Arena Football is an indoor version of America's biggest sport - NFL football - that conveniently costs about one-fifth the price of an NFL game and doesn't require you to sit outside in freezing weather a half-mile away from the field. It's also - in this CA's opinion - a more exciting game, with more passing offense, fewer players on the field, and amazing athletes who play both offense and defense.

So if you want to experience some American football excitement, or you're a sports fan and you just want to try something new, join EV on a trip to see the San Jose SaberCats in their push to the playoffs, taking on John Elway's Colorado Crush (the defending AFL champions!).

May 6th, 7:30pm. Should be a great game. Also we'll have phat club seats. And the best part is it's free for EV residents! Guests are welcome; tickets for non-EV residents will cost $18.

If you're interested, please email dmorris@cs.stanford.edu ASAP to check on ticket availability! We'll be leaving at 6:30pm from EV.

Go SaberCats!
