Faculty, staff and students are invited to join President John Hennessy at the annual meeting of the Academic Council, where he will review the accomplishments of the past year and lead a panel discussion on “A Cultured and Useful Citizenry: The Role of Creativity and the Arts in a 21st Century Education.”
The panelists will include:
* Eavan Boland, the Bella Mabury and Eloise Mabury Knapp Professor in Humanities
* David Kelley, the Donald W. Whittier Professor in Mechanical Engineering
* Kris Samuelson, Professor of Communication and, by courtesy, of Art and Art History
In addition, Eric Roberts, Chair of Senate XXXVIII, will present the Report of the Senate of the Academic Council.
