Lecture: "Telerobotic Surgery - Can Robots and Humans work together?"

Mention "robots" and many different images come to mind. From Detroit to Hollywood, multiple ideas have been popularized about what robots are and what future they will bring. Will they work together with humans? Will they be able to perform surgery? Stanford mechanical engineering professor Günter Niemeyer will discuss the deepening interactions that robots are having with the medical profession. There will be an optional dinner after the lecture.
