Oxfam Hunger Banquet

For more than 850 million people worldwide, dinner is a luxury they cannot afford. The principle of a hunger banquet is each person is assigned to the high-, middle-, or low-income tier and is served a corresponding meal. The high-income tier are served a sumptuous gourmet meal. The middle-income section eat a simple meal. The low-income tier eat whatever they can afford.

In every nation on earth, people go to sleep hungry. Thankfully, local restaurants have donated enough food so that everyone who attends the banquet can eat a full meal. Come to learn about hunger around the world and enjoy food from Amber India Restaurant, Mediterranean Wraps and the Treehouse.
