The Diversity in Language Project, sponsored by the DLCL Research Unit, investigates the theoretical and pedagogical implications of "diversity" in various contexts: among different languages, between specific languages and a putative universal model, within individual languages, and within the speech or writing of individual speakers. The group welcomes interested students, faculty, and community members to its meetings.
Upcoming speakers include Chao Fen Sun (Stanford), Peter Sells (Stanford), and William Croft (University of Manchester and Stanford CASBS).
