2006 WAIS Conference

The 2006 WAIS conference, "Critical World Problems" is being held on July

30, July 31, and August 1st, 2006 at the Bechtel International Center

across from the Stanford Faculty Club. We have 35 speakers from around the

world attending the conference to speak on a broad number of topics:

education, politics, history, and international healthcare. We also have a

special program on Iran and our keynote speaker will be Ali Jafarey, PhD, a

renowned Zoroasterian scholar, who will speak on "The Share of Zoroastrianism in World Amalgamation."

The conference aims at exploring critical issues facing the world today through an international group of scholars in order to foster a multicultural and interdisciplinary understanding of current events. Speakers will examine and offer new thinking on a host of current national and international political, educational, and policy concerns, from global energy crisis to education in the 21st century in developing countries.
