Scholarly Communications Colloquium

SULAIR is pleased to be hosting a Scholarly Communications Colloquium to raise awareness of current issues in scholarly publishing, and to provide faculty and graduate students with the information they need to make informed choices about where and how to publish their research. The program includes a publisher's panel discussion, as well as a panel of Stanford authors and editors. Ted Bergstrom of UC Santa Barbara will present on the economics of Scholarly Publishing; Stanford's own Doug Brutlag will discuss Stanford's reaction to the serials crisis; Mia Garlick of Creative Commons will discuss the licensing options that authors have in working with publishers; and John Willinsky of the University of British Columbia will present on Open Access journals.

All faculty, staff, and graduate students are encouraged to attend.
