Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, New Orleans Then and Now

The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, led by Grammy-nominated trumpeter Irvin Mayfield, is a rousing big band that serves up sizzling New Orleans jazz, blues, swing, and spirituals. Showcasing music by jazz legends Jelly Roll Morton, Professor Longhair, Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, and others, their illuminating program, New Orleans Then and Now, is a lively exploration of jazz—from its riotous beginnings in New Orleans to its present-day popularity throughout the rest of the world.
