2006 Beckman Symposium on Evolution

The concept of evolution has been around since Darwin's writings, more than 150 years ago. Over the past decade, the science of evolution has proceeded at an accelerated pace because of genome projects and real life experiments. The upcoming Beckman Symposium on Evolution brings together a number of renowned speakers who represent various facets of contemporary research in this fascinating area. The topics covered by these speakers range from evolution of pathogens and their hosts, to evolution of molecules and the genetic basis of evolution.
