The Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra (“PACO”) opens its forty-first season with a concert program combining baroque, classical and contemporary music and featuring a solo performance by Dana Putnam Fonteneau, who has toured internationally as a concert cellist. The program will include Corelli's Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 6, Boccherini's Cello Concerto in B Flat Major, Mendelssohn's youthful String Symphony No. 7 in D Major, and "Water's Edge," by noted contemporary Welsh composer Hilary Tann. The concert, to be conducted by PACO's Music Director, Benjamin Simon, will take place at 8:00 p.m. at Dinkelspiel Auditorium.
