"Justice for Women on the Border" - Special Talk by a Former Maquiladora

Brought to you by: the Stanford Center for Latin American Studies and the

Stanford Women's Community Center in conjunction with the Mexico Solidarity

Newtork - msn@mexicosolidarity.org

For more than a decade, the cities of Juarez and Chihuahua have been the

sites of over 400 unsolved, brutal murders of women. This event will

highlight the impact of neoliberal economic policies, drug trafficking,

militarization, and the maquiladora sector of the femicides. Often

families of victims suffer threats and defamation by government officials

for making one demand: STOP THE FEMICIDES!
