"The innovation process that you learn at Stanford Biodesign will change your life. We're teaching people how to improve health."
- Victor McCray, MD, 2010-11 Biodesign Innovation Fellow
Twenty years ago, we founded Stanford Biodesign to create an ecosystem of training and support for Stanford University students, fellows, and faculty with the talent and ambition to become health technology innovators. Our goal was to provide the knowledge, skills, mentoring, and networking required to deliver meaningful and valuable innovations to patients everywhere.
Today, new health technologies developed by our trainees during their time in our programs have helped over 4 million people. The Center leads the University as a model of interdisciplinary collaboration and translation, and our needs-driven innovation process is the foundation of health technology training programs worldwide. In the video below, produced for our 20th anniversary, our alumni describe the remarkable impact Stanford Biodesign's training has had on their lives and on the lives of patients and loved ones. Are you ready to make a difference?
